It would've been nice to at least see ONE represent us, after all Dota 2 wouldn't be that toxic and the game it is today without SEA playing a major role as well.

今日のコラムでは前回に引き続き、人の性格を表す英語表現をご紹介します。今回は、おせっかいな人、ケチな人、頑固な人、口先だけの人、怠け者などネガティブな性格に焦点を当てています。中には状況次第でポジティブに捉えることができる表現もありますが、基本的にマイナスな意味合いとして使われるので、使い方には注意しましょう。

1) Nosy
→「おせっかいな人 / 詮索好きな人」
--------------------------------------------------
Nosyは詮索好きな、おせっかい好きな人を表す時に使われる表現です。噂話が好きで、常に他人のことに首を突っ込みたがる性格です。Nose（鼻）から派生した表現で、くんくんと嗅ぎ回る犬をイメージしたら分かりやすいと思います。良い意味では「知りたがり」になりますが、基本的におせっかいでうっとうしいマイナスなニュアンスがあります。
＜例文＞
You are so nosy! Mind your own business.
（本当におせっかいだな。君には関係ないよ。）
I don't mean to be nosy but did you break up with your girlfriend?
（詮索するつもりはないんだけど、彼女と別れたの？）
Why are you being so nosy? She's just a friend.
（もう、本当におせっかいなんだから。彼女はただの友達だよ。）

2) Stingy
→「ケチな人」

この表現は「ケチな人」や「せこい人」を意味します。何か目的があり節約や貯金をしている人ではなく、単にお金を出し惜しむ性格の人を指し、ネガティブな意味合いとして使われます。
✔Stingyの代わりにCheapと表すこともできる。
＜例文＞
He's pretty stingy. He'll never split the bill.
（彼は結構ケチだよ。絶対割り勘しないからね。）
John is a nice guy but he can be stingy at times.
（ジョンはいい奴なんだけど、時々せこいところがあって。）
Don't be so cheap. Leave some more tip.
（ケチらないで、もっとチップ残しなよ。）

3) Stickler
→「こだわる人 / 言い張る人」

この表現は、ある物事や方法にこだわる頑固な人を指します。“こだわる”ことは、捉え方によってはポジティブな意味にもなりますが、Sticklerの場合、どちらかと言うとマイナスなニュアンスを持つ「〜にうるさい」の意味になります。自分の考え方ややり方をいつも相手に押し付けてくるような、頭が固く柔軟性がない性格を表します。
✔「〜にうるさい」は「Stickler for _____」
＜例文＞
She is such a stickler. She needs to relax.
（彼女は何でもこだわる人で。リラックスしないと。）
My teacher is such a stickler for grammar.
（私の先生は文法にうるさい人です。）
He is such stickler for details. It drives me crazy.
（彼は細かいことに本当にうるさくて。イライラするわ。）

4) All talk
→「口先だけの人 / 口ばっかりの人」

いつも口先ばかりで全然行動を起こさない人のことをAll talkと言います。All talk and no action（有言不実行）を短縮した表現になります。相手をけなす、マイナスなニュアンスが含まれます。
✔「彼・彼女は口先だけの人」は「He/She is all talk」
＜例文＞
Paul is all talk and no action.
（ポールは口ばっかりで行動しません。）
Don't take him seriously. He is all talk.
（彼は口先だけだから真剣に受け取らないほうがいいよ。）
She's all talk. I've got to see it to believe it.
（彼女は口だけだから。本当に行動を起こすまでは信じないよ。）

5) Slacker
→「怠け者」

仕事で手を抜いたり、全く努力をしない人の事を英語でSlackerと表します。仕事や勉強、運動など、全てのことにおいて、常に怠けている人を指します。ちなみに「怠ける」はSlackではなくSlack offになるので注意しましょう。
✔その他、slothやlazy bumと表すこともできる。
＜例文＞
I wouldn't count on him to get the job done. He's a slacker.
（仕事をきっちりとやり遂げて欲しいんだったら彼を当てにしないほうがいいよ。かなりの怠け者だからね。）
Slackers don't get far in life.
（怠け者は出世しません。）
You're such a sloth. Get out of bed! It's already noon.
（本当に怠け者なんだから。起きなさい！もうお昼よ。）

I often don't hear good sound right after shooting, but sometimes it sounds good after a while. This is what I call ASMR knowledge. I can't make such discoveries without listening to it when some time has passed. There are too many files and it's a hassle to check everything. Whenever I don't hear a good sound, it never goes out of my life. I don't post too many videos, so I'm worried about having too much stock.
